I'm also very impressed with it, though I will point out that my gaming group played through this adventure at least a month before we got our paws on 4e. It was, as you point out, a great intro. I'm also concerned about the price, but I'm mollified a bit by the quality of the materials, and particularly the number of maps included.

I'll also point out that the PHB is the "complete" rules for players, but to run an adventure, you really do need the DMG - and so to get a whole group started, you'd need the PHB and DMG, already more than twice the cost of this module, and that's at a bare minimum (you could build your own monsters, but the MM is still pretty well required).

Missing from this module, however, as a "starter set", are dice and counters. Dice I can understand (unless they wanted to boxed-set it) but a sheet of counters for the gobs of kobolds would have made life more than a little easier for those considering this as their D&D gateway.

So I'd have rated it a touch higher in substance as far as having the complete rules for this one adventure, but overall a much-appreciated review. Thanks!
