Bottom line: good review, but specifically calling out Savage Worlds fans in your review kinda rubbed me the wrong way. It seemed like an invitation to point out the ways SW is superior (It's also better for newbie gamers!).
I guess I made the call out to SW fans because I am a SW fan, and I'm also a D&D fan. I feel like the move in this edition brought the game closer to some of the action-adventure mechanics that SW features. The first time I played SW, I thought, "wow, D&D would really be a lot cooler if it played more like this." Now I think it does, by focusing more than prior editions on providing characters the tools to do exciting, tactical things, rather than becoming bogged down in minutia. Not those exact mechanics, but a system that lends itself to the SW-style pulpy action adventure.
