I did not intend to imply that the magic system was flawed I just personally would need more examples and advice before I could get the most out of it. As a big Fudge fan I do understand how hard it is to provide enough samples and advice when using a free-form magic system. If you put in too many samples, they just become the default spell list and the free-form aspect goes out the window.
BTW, I can see that a magic user in the game is not a 'shoot your 2 magic missiles and get out of the way' character like in some other games I could mention.

And that is a good thing.
Maybe after I see the 2nd edition and more of the supplemental stuff I can write a review on the total Mythweaver experience.

There is definitely enough here to make me want to keep an eye on this. Given the volume of supplemental items that already exist I can see this getting more refined and comprehensive as you go.
