What changed is that I fixed some of the inconsistencies in terminology (lesser/normal/greater as default settings for all variations from the norm) and cleaned up the layout, some spell lists, and revised rules for movement. I rotated in some different art. This didn't warrant a 'new edition', but instead I just revised the first rules and sent out an update. Sorry if I missed you on that.
Second edition is a complete overhaul of the system.
And regarding sheet protectors- yeah, seriously. I put all my PDF RPG stuff in sheet protectors... that way I feel like I'm flipping a book (since I put the pages back to back) and I can let players borrow a page or two as needed in play and not worry that pages are going to get ripped, stained with pizza grease, etc.
Okay, I think I just put a big arrow over my head with a flashing neon 'anal retentive gamer' sign affixed. That can't be good.
