Good review. I've read the BoEF, and had largely the same impression. It's a little uneven, but the most "mature" look at sex in D&D to date. Which for the "just wanna kill goblins" crowd isn't a concern, but for really immersive games it comes up and when plot points turn on romantic matters (as they so frequently have IRL) it's a difficulty to have it less "covered by rules" than any of the many other aspects of human endeavour that have inspired whole sourcebooks.
