Okay, it's a blog entry. They just mislabeled it as a review.
Again, it was never my intention to suggest that you shouldn't play because Belisarius999 says "it isn't D&D." It's less a critique of the game from a mechanical standpoint than an examination of my initial reactions to the new edition. I have indeed played several sample melees and generated a couple of characters; the fact that the game had only been out for a week when I wrote the review precluded any more detailed examination. That's why the review contains more personal reflection and less nuts-and-bolts evaluation.
Conan, if you wish to write your own well balanced review, I'll be more than happy to swing by and check it out.

Considering how long it was, most of the text seem to be focused on complaining or talking about 3rd edition. And there is no evidence that the reviewer playtested the game. Normally I don't think a playtest is always necessary for a capsule review - but when it is as long and rambling as this one - I would have expected a playtest.
