I definitely see a BIG difference between watching (not taking part in) something (Scrubs to use your example) where sex is part of a storyline or used for humor or other purposes; and sitting around a table with a bunch of other people (let's be honest usually other guys) going into detail about how you're trying to bone the "hawt elf chixx0r"
