Fair enough, it seemed there was still some confusion about how they worked so I was just trying to help make things clear. As it now appears that the confusion is Wizards' and not yours, my apologies. I intended no slight.

Just a suggestion, since you said you might be running 4e again. I'm not forcing you to use it, or suggesting that 4e is perfect because you could do it. Or implying that you couldn't have come up with it yourself, for that matter.
