Crap, I must be playing this game wrong, then....I've had at least an hour of hard role playing for every 30 minutes of combat in the two D&D 4E games I run. I better go back and re-read the rules so I can get rid of all that role playing stuff I am not supposed to have in there, apparently. Weird....the game seems to do it all just fine, just like every other edition of D&D I've ever played and run.....I guess I must be just assuming something out of hand about this new system, despite having read all three books cover to cover and now run eight 5-8 hour sessions of the game. Weird. Glad you guys set me straight!
