Re: [RPG]: Dungeons & Dragons 4th Edition Player's Handbook, reviewed by Al Seeger (4

"As an "old school" gamer who remembers when elf, dwarf, and halfling were classes I was hesitant to venture into fourth edition. 3E did not overly impress me."

I am curious what old school game you were playing. Elves, Dwarves and Hobbits (we didn't call them halflings until later) were races, not classes. They still had to choose to be fighter, wizard or cleric. This is as it was from the very beginning.

This review seems flawed in a number of places and plays upon what is quickly becoming the cliche'd rants of those who find 4th unappetizing. There are other, more balanced reviews on here. This is not one of them.
