Yeah, I guess I came to the comments here because I was confused in that the three points the summary made didn't seem to be backed up in the review much...
What makes the setting dark?
What makes magic dangerous? I mean, I can see it's not as routine as D&D, but that's not saying much - Burn is stun damage? That doesn't seem all that bad.
And not enough details? It seemed like there were lots, and a 264 page book after all...
Maybe more compares to other games would be welcome, because I'm not sure if "dangerous magic" means "just not completely routine like D&D", like Ars Magica, or like "no really casting a spell can easily kill you/mutate you/do permanent damage". And detail wise, there seems like more setting detail than, say, D&D clearly... Not as much as what?
