While I agree WFRP is ultimately a pre-Apocalypse game you make it sound to be a very prominent feature of the game.

Thus I'd just like to chime in saying you can play a hundred sessions where this might never ever come up; and you can play a character which remains blissfully unaware of any of this throughout that campaign.

The only apocalypse I would call "prominient" in the game is your own: WFRP is a game where your personal doom (death, despair) is always around the corner.

Most appropriately so, I should add, for a game that ultimately was constructed as an early reaction to Dungeons & Dragons and its themes and foci.

Now back to your scheduled programming...
