OK, I see. You felt Cthulhupunk made something interesting out of Lovecraft's racism and ToC didn't. Fair enough. I think ToC it mentioned it since it's hard to avoid it, and then passed on to more interesting things. We have different feelings about that, fair enough.

The last sentence did use negations a bit more than it should, yes. I see you got what I was aiming for, though. GUMSHOE have those subtleties and there are more of them.

It can be problematic to handle players that might feel constraint from a rule system. Personally I wonder if they are really interested in roleplaying as a collective endeavor.
