It's not hard to imagine a DD4 card-based game combining features of board games (the battle mat and the minis), CCGs and roleplaying proper. I, for one, would love to see this happening. Just add a board game style regional map for moving the PCs group around and locating the encounters and voilą, there's a full toolkit for game management.

Drop the 'CCG' part (card games =/= CCGs, & there have been board games that have had zillions of cards in them) & we're in agreement.
P.S. I still believe 4e to very much be an RPG, though, as is.
