yup. old gamers hate the new system.

you know, I've noticed what Destriarch was saying about people hating the new world of darkness system. When it first came out, I actually had almost 90% of the people who play Old WoD say that the new system just, well... I believe the term they used was "sucks." I even heard a whole group of people (1 and a half playing groups of 5-12 people) say, quote, "White-Wolf will go out of business soon because their new world is just plain horrible." Some of these people even went as far as to predict that White-Wolf would be bought out by Wizards when that happened, and that we'ld get a d20 version of all their games (this was before Monty Cook's World of Darkness (which previous mentioned groups revile) and can you imagine a d20 version of Exalted <shudder>).

My point is this. most of the people hated the new system because it was new. Neither group will play the new world in it's whole (one group just flat out refused to play the game, while the other did their best to map old world to new system). Why this is, I cannot fully say. I'm guessing it has more to do with the love of the old game than anything else. It goes beyond Vampire; the people hate the new games entirely.

This is just what I've noticed. Even now, like four years after the new world hit the shelves, it's still anti-new WoD. Go figure
