It sounds like a bit much at $50, but this is a great 2 and 3 player game. With the 3 player game, it's going to be a bit contentious, but even with the 2 players, there are still plenty of chokepoints to make it a challenge.

The TtR series plays fast too, so you don't have to set aside a 2-hour block of time to play it. You can bang out a game in about 30-45 minutes if both players know what they want.

I highly recommend the series to players of many different levels. It really is just a fun game. My personal recommendation is to start with the American (original) one, then move on to the others.
