I would love to make it more concise and shorter but I write and the think the way I write and think, thus I would need an editor for that purpose... to whom I can only pay with a fraction of what I'm payed to write the review... and you know how much it is.
On the vitriol and objectivity of tone, well it was inspired by the product under review.
Play test, no. That's not my approach to reviewing. My review is just a take on the product under review, it's complementary to other reviews and other sources of information. I hope other people write play test reviews that provide other insights, but I leave that to them.
