capnzapp> If that's true, then that would be awesome. At some point WotC had plans to release a series of stand-alone setting books for 3E that other parties would then support with supplements. Sadly, they only did Call of Cthulhu, Dragonlance, and Wheel of Time. I was really hoping that Dark Sun would be next.
4E can potentially suit DS really well, I think. But it will be a lot of work to convert. Even after PHB2 has been released, they'll still have to create three new classes complete with power lists (gladiator, templar, and psionicist; though they could turn gladiator into a fighter build), modify existing classes (bard, cleric, wizard), and create a whole bunch of new races.
