So, I was excited to buy the game, and then, on day 2, Anita Sarkeesian comes into my checkpoint and hands me the card to her workplace, a strip club.

That better be a randomly generated, very unfortunate happenstance, or this is a new low. 'Hey let's use our game to cast a real person, a feminist blogger, as a stripper'

I replayed day 2, this time the stripper was named Anidova, Kodi. So, I guess it's a case of being an unfortunate convergence...

(not sure yet whether the game pulls the first and last names from separate files, or if they have placed full actual people names in there)

Anyway, that snapped me out of that mood for this eve, gonna do something else now.

There are actual full people names in there- during the run-up to release, one could apply to have their name put in as one of the immigrants to (glorious) Aristotzka.

I didn't know that was an option, or I would've right away known that was the cause...

Good thing I don't have to dislike the game because of what its maker might've done.

So, if the game had randomly assigned her profession as "Banker" would you have asked for her name to be removed?

I assumed this was the case: random names (I expected a list of KS backers) and random professions being put together.

It's also something I learned while working on online games before: when you have thousands or millions of players, any random combination WILL happen to somebody. If you make a text field that's populated by ten random characters, a few hundred people are gonna get "Fuck Tits!"

I am curious whether there's actually reason to believe that her name got into the pool by enemy action.

Not because that's implausible, but because it doesn't seem out of the question for someone who blogs about games to submit their own...
