Sort of tangentially-related: my dad wants a Captain Hammer shirt for Christmas, for when he's doing work around the house.

I hate to pseudo-necro this thread but, remember, NPH has played a teen-aged genius before. Dr. Horrible being a high schooler with a PhD is not beyond his awesomeness.

Why don't they live with their parents, then? Dr Horrible is renting a flat with Moist or whatever he's called, that would seem odd for high-schoolers.

Re: Dr Horrible speculation - the characters are high schoolers

Yeah - most high schoolers I've met didn't rent an apartment with a roommate and wash their clothes at a corner laundromat. Why don't we ever see them in school? Summer vacation? Where are their parents? "They're all in high school" is an interesting idea, but in answering the job question it just raises a half-dozen more. I'm pretty sure you're overthinking it.

It's obvious, really. They're actors. It took place during the Writers' Strike, right? Only makes sense they weren't working.

Case closed.
