Feedback on Review

You asked for feedback on the review, so here you go:

Overall, I find fiction exceedingly hard to review, and the one piece of fiction that I reviewed for RPGnet I was never entirely happy with.

However, you seem to do a good job. You concentrate on the physicality of the book to try and map its style, and also talk about the actual content in quite a few ways. You highlighted which points people might like and which points people might not. All good things.

If I were to suggest ways to do things differently I'd say:
* Provide category headings to break up a longer review like this.
* Provide a bit more context to explain how this novel exists within the world of the RPG (as it's one I'm unfamiliar with I don't know how representative this story is of stories within the game).
* Use HTML. You'll want to, for example, bold or headline those category headings. You can also use anchor links to connect up those URLs so that people can click through.

Thanks Shannon,

I'm going to try to deal with your comments in an easiest to hardest fashion.

HTML: Oh, boy, do I need to learn more about this! But I can't do the actionlinks or the bolded headings yet.

Category headings: Good one.

"Story exists within the world of the RPG.". I am not sure what you mean here. Multiverser does not use a metaplot like Vampire. It does have some background characters who have come before the heroes, and may be included, and the influence of them is felt, but not to a great degree(the impact is primarily in the first world the players go to which helps orient the players to what is going on).

This is the first Multiverser novel so there are no other stories as of yet.

Now, Multiverser is based on the idea that a near infinite array of universes with differing rules(in some, as a partial example, magic is possible, and in others tech, and in others both, and so on) in them exists. One tag line is "all stories are true somewhere." And "versers"(the scriff affected) are transported after dying from one to another.

Cordially,
Eric Ashley

Thanks for the info on how the book fit into Multiverser. Exactly what I would have found useful in the review.

As for HTML:

THis creates a headline

<h2>My Topic</h2>

And this creates a link:

<a href="http://www.rpg.net">Words to be Linked</a>

If you google I'm sure you can find some useful references.
