Has Jam-Uz come through on his threats? Is the mighty Troll Insect Air Force included? And does Tarantulor get coverage?
Honestly, this sounds so cool I can't wait to get my hands on it. Gloranthan trolls, done by someone who loves their flinty little hearts, for an in-print system.

If anyone wants to know more, the relevant page on our website (http://www.celtic-webs.com/theunspokenword/books/uz.html) has sample pages and some colour art of trollish locations.
(Oh yes, and you can also find information on how to buy this fine book!)
All the best

Tarantulor, no, but there is the Enlo Insect Pilot advanced occupation! (And also details of new insect shamanic practices, so you can even have the little buggers using fly, bee, beetle, etc magics).
All the best

Hello,
I enthusiastically agree with every word in the review.
In our Hero Wars game, one of the finest moments out of many was our use of the Haunted Ruins supplement from lo these many years gone.
When the new Uz book appeared, we all instantly decided that, when Hero Quest appears, we're playing an Enlo-PC-only game, in a wholly troll-community context, no Hooman presence worth mentioning.
One member of the group suggested that he'd be putting his initial 5w score into the custom ability, "Not My Fault." I was thinking that "Obviously Tastes Nasty" might be a good one too.

Must Go Buy Promptly. This sounds like Essence Du MGF.
James' posts on all things trollish were one of the many highlights of the old and sadly departed RQ and Glorantha lists. I remember thinking, "Wouldn't it be hugely neat if some of this inspired madness were published in some form?". And now it has! *happydance*

I haven't got the book with me, and I wasn't involved with writing it, but I'd guess that, given the rarity of Mistress Race trolls (IIRC, there's talk on the book of two being seen in Dargon Pass AT THE SAME TIME, being a Sign of THE END OF DAYS), the appearance of one would only be seen at the heart of a Troll homeland, surrounded by it's extended family.
It's like giving stats to a true dragon: you don't want the players having them as characters, and once you meet them, you're usually beyond worryong about stats.
