Great music, shame about the lyrics

Well, I read through the rules (Fast!). Seems like a very amusing setting, but there isn't really enough to go on.

One thing I found odd -- all the characters described are male. Where is Mrs. Peel??

I'd like to see it expanded. There is a lot of potential to play with here, but not enough follow through. Maybe this will give the game enough exposure to encourage the creators to write a much longer book.

I noticed that as well, but I forgot to add it in when I reviewed the game.

Sounds like D6, sorta...

The game mechanics sound like the opposite of the D6 Prime system. In that, you'd roll dice, and if it was a 3,4,5, or 6 it was a success.
(They made special dice for this, too)

True. in this game, you use the same type of dice, but you only succeed if you roll a 5 or a 6. Then you count up the number of success and that is about it.

Well, it sounds like it would be a great campaign seed for a game of d20 Modern or something similar.

You could say that it's sort of like an inverted D6 Prime system, or you could say it's sort of like the revised Storyteller system only with d6's instead of d10's. Really, there's nothing all that unique about the D6 system.

What puzzles me is the fact that you roll a fixed number of dice, plus or minus a modifier for your skill. I don't see why you wouldn't just add in that base number of dice to the skill value. That is, instead of saying "roll two dice, plus three for excelling at persuasion," it would be simpler to say "an excellent skill gives you five dice." Also, the rules say that you roll three dice and add your modifier, but the example says that you roll two. Which is it?

I guess that the D6 system is simpler than the Storyteller system, but I do not know.

Thanks!

Just a quick thanks for the review, I only just spotted it, Duh. I'd also like to mention that this is a playtest version, any feedback is welcome, so thanks for those who've added their comments.

By the way, there's no experience system for a reason: characters in the shows the game pays homage to don't evolve(it's good old reset button TV). As such I decided that an experience system wouldn't be appropriate.

Cheers.
