Take one part Greco-Roman mythology, mix with one part classical philosophy, add a pinch of fantasy and a dash of Gnostic mythos and what you have is the alchemical elixir that is Nine Worlds. A game whose focus is narrative game play through creative story telling.

Hey -
Just thought that you might have mentioned the download time. That 2.2mb pdf took over 15 minutes to download on my ISDN connection. I gained enough interest to go ahead and let it run, but most of the time a file that size will take me a little under a minute. Now I will admit that I might have hit a bad time of day, but if there server is that slow regularly, then people with dial-up connections will have a hard time getting it out by the end of the day.

Bad time of day, I think. I got it over 56k and it took as long as I'd have expected.
I've skimmed through very quickly, and it explains why the review is a bit vague on setting: the download doesn't spend much time on this, concentrating on the task resolution stuff. Which looks somewhat like tactical Nobilis.

It used to be about 800 KBs, it had all the same pages except for the first one which as you can see is a picture. It's no longer avaiable for download but it was.

Yes, the download is currently around 2.2 MB. The "slimmer" version mentioned by Thunder_God (I think it was) is no longer available, as I corrected several mistakes and added the cover page.
My servers are occaisonally slow, but I understand my ISP will be upgrading to a T3 connection (MUCH faster) soon.

Tim, the review doesn't go into much depth about the mechanics, that's true. Do you have any immediate questions I could answer for you at all? I'd be happy to do so, whether mechanics or setting questions.

Pulpnut,
actually, that's not how it works so far as I understand. See, sender's have a maximum send speed, and receivers have a maximum receive speed, and the file is sent at the lower of the two speeds. So if it's being sent at 56kbs to you, it'll still be sent at 56kbs to me, so it'll seem like a slow delivery to you, but an average one to me. And in the end, the DL took me, on dialup, just under 15 minutes.
