Just curious, what is a symbiotic parasite? I always thought that the two terms were rather specifically opposed in meaning.

Symbiosis mean all forms of close interaction between two organisms. Parasitism is just the form where one feeds off the other. Mutalism (sp) is where both benefit and commensalism (sp) is where on benefits and the other is unaffected.

While that's not what I was taught (in high school, way back in the dark ages--I was told that symbiosis referred only to mutually beneficial interaction), I'll take your word for it that at worst, I was taught wrong, and at best there are a few methods of classification.
Btw, the dictionary I just checked supports your explanation.
