Another solid review, and this time it's of a game I'm familiar with, so I can add a hearty endorsement. Assuming you've got a decent-sized gaming group, this is well worth picking up. There are some rules on the website (www.davincigames.com) for variants, including two/three-player games.

My copy of Bang! has a plastic tray inside the cardboard box, and it had a divider to keep the two stacks apart. Makes the production values even higher. The game looks like a winner, I hope to get to play it this week.

You have the International European (Italian/English) edition of the game, packed in Italy, while the review was related to the USA (Mayfair) version, packed in Germany. There exists also a German/Dutch version, within a tagbox, and a rare Italian version made by Modiano which comes with the plastic tray, too, but with a slightly different cover. Finally, soon a French version will be released by Tilsit, with an even better box -- but the name of the game is changed to "WANTED!".

We've been playing a game called Wyoming Cowboy for years (WyomingCowboy.org). Bang is similar but over-produced, and consequently just not as fun to play. I like Bang, but the intricacy and number of cards can get in the way of basic enjoyment.

Gee, two different postings with the exact same information and a careful mention of your URL. That doesn't look at all like a spammy ad for your home-invented card game. Not at all.
I'll have to admit, you're the only person I've ever heard say that a game isn't as much fun if it's overproduced. Maybe that's because it doesn't make any sense and I hang out with smarter people.
Overproduction usually results in a more expensive price, and that's its main flaw. However, Bang! remains cheap and if you think it's actually overproduced ... well, you need to get out more.
A few years ago I took a gamble at the game store and picked up a funny little card game called Bang! The basic premise is that you and your opponents are all Old West gunslingers stuck in a spaghetti western (all the cards are printed in Italian).
Everyone randomly draws different characters with different advantages. Then everyone draws a job which determines your goal for the game. The wide variety of cards lets you shoot at your neighbors around the table, heal yourself by drinking a beer, or sending the Indians after everyone, among other interesting choices.
I highly recommend the game as a fun part of holiday family get-togethers. But watch out.
