TABLE CLOTH HELPS

The authors of Light Speed were 100% on target with that note about using a table cloth or something else to put some friction on those cards. Really fun game---like most CA Games

Daron,

Indeed, one good sneaze and there goes your amramda! And of course, along with table cloths, making sound effects always makes the game better

Seriously though, Walmart and other discount stores usually provide fabric by the yard, and I've seen many that provide either a plain black or a black with a white 'starfield' pattern that will do well for Light Speed as well as many other Space Battle games.

Clarify Movement

If I'm getting the right impression, ships don't move after they've been played from a player's hand; so I'm left to wonder, what are the move values of the ships used for?

E,

You are most certianly correct!

Ships once placed on the table and you've taken your hand away are stationary and cannot be positioned afterwards.

The move value you're talking about, is the turn order in which ships fire. Going from one to ten, firing from lowest to highest. The lower the turn order, the weaker the ship, usualy having less shields, lasers, and health points.

This may be just bad communication on my behalf, sorry for any miscommunication. This is my first review, so feel free to give pointers

Rob
