Impressive! Looks like you got sold on CAH for almost exactly the same reasons I did. Very good job with the review.

Prime Time Action Hour?

Excellent review. As a guy who grew up in the late 70s and the Reagan era, I'm very intrigued by this game. I'll be picking it up momentarily.

A Prime Time Action Hour, eh? Got any links to that one? Sounds interesting.

I know I'm not the reviewer (and I certainly hope he pipes up on this too), but I'll do my part to answer.

If Four Colors is a TV dinner, then CAH is a full-blown banquet.

When we designed CAH, we took the core elements of 4C and just went wild with them. Some of it is the same -- like how Traits work, the base mechanic and so on.

One of the biggest differences is that Powers from 4C are now Special Abilities. The Powers in 4C were extremely free-form, whereas there is a lot more structure with SAs. You still create whatever you want, but it's crunchier than it was previously.

The vehicle rules were added, more rules applications were set up and optional rules were tossed in.

Overall, it really is a different game.

Thanks for your interest, Hermetic. I hope you dig CAH.

As for PTAH, we just announced it (rather informally, I might add) recently. It's very early in the development stages.

Thanks for the information on PTAH, Cynthia! I'll certainly keep an eye out for it.

AS for CAH, I downlaoded the Playset and was immediately intrigued. I plan to drop by and pick up the copy of CAH that my FLGS has held for me.
