[RPG]: Book of Erotic Fantasy, reviewed by arcady (3/4)

http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/9/9982.phtml

arcady's Summary:

Overall the book does a surprisingly good job of an unusual topic. Much of this material could easily fit into a standard game that just happened to spend a little too much time 'in town' - a game without any graphic eroticism, but in which romances where covered and the inevitable eventually happened, even if off camera.
If any book was to cover these topics right, it would do them the way this book did. I bought it as a statement of support after the STL license change, and I've found it oddly well done and even possibly useful to my essentially non-sexual game.

>This is the end of the gaming world.<

Why? Because it might have been done well? Or, because it was done at all? Or maybe because it got a serious review?

Just curious

The end of the gaming world occurred approximately 1.2 picoseconds after dull wits like you decided that you were qualified to quantify the gaming experiences of people you have never met and have nothing in common with.

I would pee upon this message to wash its natural stink away but I don't want my bodily fluids connected to it even by the distance necessary to create a stream.

I would refer you to keep your own genetic stock with the other cabbage scarfing hyenas but I think they might have a future if you would only leave.

To say I am completely lost as to the nature of this line of commentary would be an understatement.

So...

Of course it is. Everybody knows that gamers game while they wait for the moment they will actually have some herotic fantasy in their lives. That's the end of the gaming world and the book seems to be a big step in that direction.

You mean, at some distant point in the future, there will be a moment when thousands of sweaty, socially inept teenagers with jam jar glasses and long, greasy hair, actually get it on, perhaps even with a (whisper it) woman?

My, and I was expecting hellfire and brimstone.

Of course not! I was thinking in the lines of a couple of married old-time roleplayers conversation after dinner:
"Darlin, let's have secss tonite?"
"Humm, nope, let's play The Book of Erotic Fantasy instead. You are Barbarella(*)".

(*) Remember, it's old-time roleplayers. They started roleplaying long ago.
