Dang it, I wanted to be the first one to review the new MWWG! And after I finally convinced my players to go through the sample adventure this weekend...
I am kind of surprised you gave the book a 3 in Substance, though. I felt there was enough missing text, typos, cut and pastes of the same material over and over again, and other flaws that it would rate a 2 at best.

Good review, good reading, but you missed one little point:
I watched a lot of schlock in the 80's, as there was *a lot* of schlock produced then. And some of the funnier stuff I saw featured women in the army, women as assassins, alien warrior princesses on rollerblades (in a desert setting), etc. A lot of these "killer babes" were played by Playboy or Penthouse alumni, whose total lack of acting skills just made those movies even more hilarious.
I think the game, in part, was kind of a reaction to that.
Not that the game never appealed to the salivating gamer chauvinist pig in me...

Makes sense to me. Based on what I've read (and assuming playtesting doesn't change my opinions) I'm probably going to end up giving it a lower Substance but a higher Style than you. It's all a matter of how you look at how you interpret the Substance and Style ratings, I guess.
Good review, by the way. Sorry I forgot to mention that in my initial post.

Gee, wonder why I never saw those things?
Well, the important question is, did Greg Porter?
