[RPG]: GURPS Traveller Starships, reviewed by Daron Patton (3/4)

http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/10/10079.phtml

Daron Patton's Summary:

Overall, STARSHIPS does a very thorough treatment of the topic. A lot of thought has gone into its writing and compilation of details. If you are playing GURPS Traveller, I would say you are cheating yourself by playing without it IF you want spaceships/starships to play any appreciable role in your games. If you are playing other sci-fi games and want to have a solid reference for new ideas in one collection, I would also strongly recommend checking out this book.

how useful for other systems

Converted from Phorums BB System

I really like the GURPS books but never really paid much attention to Traveler. How much use is this for other games?

Thx

It probably goes without saying that you're going to have to mess around with stats and so forth to match whatever system you're using. However, for general spaceship adventuring ideas and detail oriented ship construction, it's a really good reference. Lots of ideas to be mined in there.
