Nice review.

The eye of the professional is apparent throughout, there's no escape from your Pelgrane supersenses.

The pithy core of this tome is exposed and supped from, marrow-like, with the long spoon of critical perspicacity

I'm ruined! Ruined, I say!

This was supposed to appear concurrent with the review of Turjan's Tome of Beauty & Horror. Some of it doesn't make sense without that other review to hand.

And also, I hate html.

Flattering words indeed from one so noble. But why does your hand flutter so around my purse?

Is the horribly painful dictionary speech supposed to be based on the language of the book, or what? If it is, I hope you are doing it poorly and that no published book actually is written like that. I couldn't force myself to read the review after a few paragraphs because you sound like someone trying to sound intelligent but failing miserably.

Whereas you manage to sound like someone unintelligent without even trying. A remarkable achievement!

It's not "dictionary speech", it's how us well educated British born types speak don't you know.

I stand cowed by one with the perspicacity to see through my hollow rhetoric to the void that lies beneath. Have no fear, good wow, I shall no more trouble your delicate ears with high-flown verbiage in some miserable attempt to dress my dullard's wit as the fine raiment of a scholar such as you. I shall forever more speak plainly and without pretense.

To whit: @!#$ you.

Your servant,

Patrick Hudson.

Truly, your vulgar verbal assault against poor wow was a mere whit of a phrase, but could it be that you intended to write "to wit"?

Lexicographically yours,
