I would have liked a little more info on things and all, but overall it gave me a nice overview of the game. Which I ironically had just ordered. (Well, the Rulebook, my Army Book, and Chronicles 2004.)

But on the whole Skirmish thing: Are these the same rules available in the Skirmish minibook or a simplified/edited version of the same?

To my knowledge, the skirmish rules in the main book are the same as what's in the minibook, but the minibook also comes with scenarios to use with the Skirmish game.

I'm pretty sure that the skirmish rules in the special skirmish book are a bit expanded. Not suprisingly - the skirmish rules in the book need some work.

hey mike, ive being collcting warhammer for a few years now on and off, and by far ive found the Dwarfs to be the best army. Not because of there strength (because there not the best army) but because it is a chalange to play with them, and they look soooo cool! But if ur looking for an army that has it all and is probably the best army of them all i would suggest high elves. see ya around.

Well Mike, it first depends on whether or not you wish to be evil or good. I field 5 armies High elves, Vampire counts, a Khorne chaos army, A Lizardmen army and a Khemtri army. I persnoally prefer the High elves for thier high initiative nad their high weapon skill. That army is smaller than the others , except for the chaos army, and hard to wield, yet since I have been playing for a few years i am quite good with them. Since you are a Newbie I suggest you start with an easy army such as empire, chaos, orcs, or maybe the new ogre kingdoms army that just came out. E mail me and we will talk further.
