Sorry, I don't get it. In what way does the game having an alien species called "Heshians" have anything to do with racial hate speech? Seriously, what am I missing? Is this some derogatory slang term people are using that I've never heard before?

I hadn't heard of it either. I thought maybe you were referring to Hessians, or something. In any case, I doubt the author was familiar with this term and wouldn't read anything into it, myself.

I don’t know Fuzion, but I used to play a lot of HERO long ago and I don’t quite get the point about Presence attacks. Can you clarify the problem you have with them?

Yeah, there's nothing quite like good old-fashioned Star Wars/Star Trek sci-fi. And Lightspeed delivers cyber-punk too?!! System sounds fine, though it doesn't matter much to me, I've been doing this style of game with Rifts Phase World, so how could I complain?

There's only a few listed that I can think of. One, there's the brain parasites (technically a 'race', but since they're so powerful, they're treated more like creatures), and a race of reptillian predators. Surprisingly, there's no rules for creatures for download at www.lightspeed-rpg.com.
In any case, I doubt the author was familiar with this term and wouldn't read anything into it, myself.
