[RPG]: Eberron Campaign Setting, reviewed by Jake Waltier (5/5)

http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/10/10457.phtml

Jake Waltier's Summary:

Eberron is a high dosage of pulp/noir fantasy, and just might be your miracle cure for stale D&D campaigns. However, Eberron is not for everyone.

Thanks for the review.

One word of advice, just tell us what is in the product and what you think works and doesn't work. Don't take paragraphs to explain the structure of your review and what you will be telling us.

Keep up the good work. I look forward to your next review.

Jeb

It doesn't quite seem like an Eberron Review thread without him...

Expanded Psionics Handbook

Thanks for the review, I thought it was very thorough.

I thought I'd mention that you don't need to buy the Expanded Psionics Handbook to play psionics characters in Eberron, since all the relevant rules are available for free in the most recent version of the d20 System Reference Document.

I'd recommend either the Wizards of the Coast's SRD page on
http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=d20/article/srd35

or SRD.org on
http://www.systemreferencedocuments.org

Having said that, the Expanded Psionics Rulebook is both very pretty and quite cool.

I really liked it. Obviously.

Thanks, I'll try to shorten my next review and add more subjective judgments. I don't feel entirely comfortable talking about what does and doesn't work in a capsule review. Maybe after I can get a group together to run a few adventures, I'll post a playtest addendum with personal feelings toward what Eberron adds to D&D.

You're welcome. Thanks for the links. Personally, if I'm going to include psionics (beyond kalashtar racial abilities), I'll just buy the book so I can get all the flavor that comes with the nutrition.
