[RPG]: Supermegatopia, reviewed by Almafeta (2/3)

http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/10/10557.phtml

Shanya Almafeta's Summary:

The \"Super-Furry Roleplaying Game\" is not super, only marginally furry, hardly mentions roleplaying, and the game reads like an afterthought.

Great review! And wow... sounds like they didn't put much effort into this one if even half of your review is accurate.

It's mostly a tie in to the supermegatopia website fans. Limited exposure and advertising, make this at best a sleeper.

Another product I'll never need I guess. Hmm, I wonder if the Brothers would approve of a Superlink product for M&M though...

I'm sure they would, but what's the point?

Hi Shanya:

Great review. Your points were very well put. I'm not in the market for a furry comedy supers game, but if I were, this review would definitely put me off of the Supermegatopia RPG. Such lackadaisical editing gives us all (pdf RPG designers)a bad name.

Speculation on MM & IM

You said that MM and IM are on the Armor table.....

MM might mean Movement Modifier, since there is a -0" (inches generally denotes "table top" movement)

And IM might mean Intimidation Modifier, as that has been known to be a trope in some comics. Look at Batman, he's all about the intimidation factor.

Just random speculation.

Nice review by the way.

I'm working on them to try that out. I think it'd be a good Superlink product.

Team Frog

Some day, the industry will realize that Paul Lidberg is an embarrassment, with no talent whatsoever. Just a drive to rip off other people's ideas and call them his own.

And then maybe on that glorious day, he and "Team Frog" will go the way of the DoDo...
