[RPG]: Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Slayer's Handbook, reviewed by Dan Davenport (5/5)

http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/10/10620.phtml

Dan Davenport's Summary:

It's more of a grab bag of new rules, characters, and settings than it is a Slayer sourcebook. Fortunately, that grab bag's packed with goodness. It's a supplement in the truest sense of the word, so you don't need it… but chances are good you'll want it.

Well if only I could get my mind off the image of a Buffy Buffet.

Well your review is up to your usual standards.
If I hadnt already purchased the book your review convinced me too. All I need is the time to read the blasted book.

Good work....still cant loose the image of a Buffy Buffet...

Trevor.

Thanks, Miki! Glad to hear it. It's definitely worth a look.

Just out of curiousity, what are the big selling points for you?

Thanks, Trevor! I'm not quite sure whether to say "Sorry about that" or "You're welcome" re: the buffet thing.

The adventure is a little railroaded, but it's the kind of railroading easy to tuck away from the players.

Good review, regardless! And you quoted me!

Thanks, Steve! But where did I quote you? I don't remember doing so deliberately, but if I did, I should at least give you credit.

Adventure notes (SPOILERS!)

Hi.

I'm the guy playing the white hat (Greg) who got the bonus Slayer powers.

Dan, I don't see the problem with the logic of the adventure that you do. The reason why a stand-in does the ritual is *because* the wish isn't a valid wish - The demon is just making the poor boy think it's a real wish. Instead, he's faking it with the sorcerer's help.

Now, I'm just wondering how long Greg's going to be in this poor coma. He can't even reply to his livejournal.

John
