Speaking of longevity, Erick Wujcik recently mentioned the possibility of publishing a final, twelfth issue of Amberzine, which would be a fitting tribute to all the people who have kept AMBER alive over the years... and will continue to do so as long as All Roads Lead to Amber.

Yup. A 512-page monster, on which we've been working for a whole year. The call for stories was even echoed on RPG.net: http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?t=120452
I wanted to find someone to review it once it'd be ready; thanks to Erick, I guess it won't be necessary. ^_^ Good job!

This strip was done by Matt Howarth, a top-notch self-made comic artist/writer. _Amber Raves_ features recurrent characters from one of Howarth's better inventions, Bugtown. These are Russ and Ron Post, aka the Post Brothers... eternally juvenile bad-asses that go around mucking in different realities behaving like frothing lunatics the are. The Post Bros. comics are a must read, in particular the super-hero spoof that ran for a few issues, and which deconstructed a super team in a quite literal way. Want more? Cthulhu is another character, as a shary music entrepreneur...
very cynic, lots'of angst, and with the blackest sort of humour I've read in comics this side of the Atlantic.

Salut Olivier,
I should have put a smiley... By no means I was trying to disqualify your comments.
I was not using "dummy" in a pejorative way.
I was rather trying to give a brief capsule description of Matt Howarth, a sort of "Matt Howarth 101", if you will (and from a passionate POV, as I like the Post Bros comics a lot).
FWIW, as a lover of European BDs, in particular French ones, I found that Howarth's style reminds me of early Moebius - in particular Moebius' signature style that I call "cross-hatching" (lignes, traits et points). As you mention, Howarth goes for the caricature look, while Moebius' range is wider (from Blueberry to Arzach).
If you ever see a Post Bros. comics, take a look.

This is excellent news! I've been buying Amberzine since debuted way back in...was it early 1992? I'll have to check my copy of Number 1. I haven't had the chance to play in a long time, but I will definitely pick this issue up, both to complete my collection and because Amberzine is always worth reading.

You won't be disappointed. We had more quality tales to choose from than ever before. And in addition to game fiction, you'll find texts from, hm... Trent Zelazny, Jane Lindskold, Walter John Williams, Ed Greenwood...

Will the release be announced on the GoO website?

In the Amber section of their boards, at the very least.
