Halsted M. Larsson's Summary:
Dogs in the Vineyard has all the best qualities of an individually-produced RPG but doesn't escape all of its drawbacks. An interesting setting and a fun and innovative new system are, at times, marred by less-than-perfect layout, an informal (and often less than wholly in depth) treatment of a lot of material, and a high learning curve. Ultimately, however, the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks: playing a mormon preacher-cowboy has never been so fun!
