Tom Vasel's Summary:

If you have Bang!, this expansion will breathe new life into it - it's worth every penny to have the new variety.

I love this game... but...

Converted from Phorums BB System

I was really looking forward to this supplement, but I've found that for my group at least, it hasn't added much to our game. In fact, since playing with Dodge City, I'm far fonder of original Bang! and High Noon.

Some of the characters are just too powerful. The character that draws four cards instead of two for example. Other characters have quirky powers.

We found that the Green cards tend to make for less even games. Someone gets lucky and we've had players with three or four blue bordered cards out and half a dozen green bordered cards. There was little we could do against such a character.

It was also disappointing when someone came back as a "ghost" as per the Nigh Noon "Ghost Town" card and all they got in their hand were a bunch of green bordered cards they couldn't play.

We'll keep trying the game with the expansion to see if it grows on us, but I really think that this expansion so far is a bit extraneous - Bang! (along with High Noon) is a wonderful, elegant, and very tight game.

Oh, we love the three player game. In fact, a number of us prefer the three player game over the larger games. Despite my misgivings regarding Dodge City, Bang! is one of the finest card games out there!

Thanks for the review!
