Power comments

Nice review!

I'm glad to hear that the powers are more obvious predecessors to those in Aberrant and Trinity now.

One question, though: are the abilities to hit harder and to lift more weight still separate?

Power Lifter now applies to lifting and damage (add your Destrucive Facet to your Strength), and Piledriver now reduces your Threat range by an amount equal to your Destructive facet (that's right, kiddies, you can crit on a 15 now!) and also allows you to crit against objects that are normally immune to critical hits. So you can now critical hit buildings, golems, that sort of thing.

THinking about it, I probably should have gone more in depth into the powers in my review.

Ah, good. That makes much more sense to me. I always thought it was silly that a Stalwart in the original version could be this huge musclebound freak who could lift all sorts of ridiculous weight but couldn't hit any harder.

Starting Levels

Don't be afraid to start PCs at level 3. They will be fairly powerful. (1d8 damage with your fists? +25 on Bluff checks? Sure!)

Don't be afraid to start 'em at level 10, either, of course -- whatever floats your boat. Just be aware that low level Adventure! D20 PCs are noticably more dangerous than low level D&D PCs.
