[Card Game]: Geek Wars Deck 1: RPG Gamer, reviewed by Ayrk (5/4)

http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/10/10794.phtml

Erik A. Dewey's Summary:

Armies of geeks descend upon the big convention prepared for war. Armed with the skills of their hobby, each hopes to wrest control of the convention for fame and glory. At least according to the rulebook. Geek Wars is a quick card game with a great sense of humor and good replayability. Future decks should only enhance this.

This game sounds a LOT like Geeks: The Convention

Converted from Phorums BB System

Has anyone played Geeks: The Convention? It's a fun cardgame that sounds almost exactly like this. Anyone played both games?

Richard Iorio here. I am the designer of "Geek Wars."

I've never played Geeks: The Convention, and did not know of the game until after my game was out.

Thanks,

Richard

No, they're not the same game. GTC mechanics are based on suits (or rather, geek stereotypes), while GW looked more like Magic the Gathering.
