The bigger, more detailed cousin to Stikfas that also has a war game aspect. While many of the toy design principals remain, does this equate to a good toy or a good game? Yes on one...no on two.

The Grim Skull figure has a few more accessories than I suggested in the review. I had yet to really take it out of the packaging. It does indeed have the hyperfury fire accessories (with black highlighting rather than orange...think for smoke not fire...). It also has all the Skull Jack accessories as well, just in a purple, silver and white color scheme. I think the Skull Jack looks better as a pirate, but the black skeletal figure of the Grim Skull is nifty.

I recently picked up a few battle packs at a Kb-Toys for 2 for $5. Great deal. I do have issues with the ankle and feet placement on the neosapiens (sp). The feet are set too far to the outside. On the robot I have the feet are perfect.
Still a great investment for GMs who have kids!
I wouldn't play the game that is offered with it, but the variaty of figures and styles rocks.

The Grim Skull figure sounds like another figure I have seen over the last six months. This one was basically an Alpha Ranger, but colored orange, with black weapons (I don't own one, much to my eternal sorrow, so I can't get much more specific than that). It also contained a good-sized assortment of Sledge Trooper parts. The figure was called on Omega Guard, and I only saw it once, at a Toys R Us in St. Louis, Missouri. I am sure it was an exclusive figure, sold only at Toys R Us stores. The Grim Skull might also be a store exclusive. Do you remember where you bought it? With the Skull Jack being my favorite figure to date (Sky Grinder trailing a close second), I'd LOVE to get my hands on one of these. Note that these exclusives don't show up on the list of figures included with each action figure. So if anyone knows of any other exclusive-type figures, sing out.
On another note, one of the new figures is much like the Skull Jack, with the bones molded in black, with some new accessories reflecting Halloween and ghoulish critters instead of pirates (one of its optional heads is a flaming pumpkin, and it has a fiery sword as one of its weapons). There's even a vehicle set with a street punk figure (and it looks HUGE), but I haven't seen it anywhere yet. I hope I do sometime soon, or I may never see it. Xevoz doesn't seem to sell very well in my neck of the woods, and the local Toys R Us has been clearing Razor Claw and Alpha Ranger for months now. Some people have no taste in toys.

It was spell checked. If Word missed somehting I humbly apologize. Lord knows how much you have suffered from a possable mis-spelling. You had better run and get some therapy quick.
You, my spelling queen, might want to learn how to use capital latters properly.

The promo packages are reprints of other kits with added differently colored bits from another kit (which sorta exemplifies thier productline...). The Omega Guard is a yellow Alpha Ranger and has stuff from the Sledge Trooper. The Grim Skull is a black colored Skull Jack with stuff from the firey hyperfury.
The Grimskull is a TRU exclucive, I think, but you can get it on Amazon...which is drying up QUICK as a source for Xevoz figures.
The figure you are thinking of is the Tomb Wraith, which is VERY nifty...and correspondingly very rare. Hopefulyl when I am overseas next month I will find a few I can not get in the US in Singapore.

The game is not very good, unless you are an 8 year old boy.
I think the feet on the Neo-Sapiens are okay, I think there is only so much closeness you can get with a humanish foot and the ball and joint scheme the figures use...

There's another possible use for gamers out there, and that's as customizable miniatures (that aren't all that miniature) for tabletop games and RPGs, but it would require an alternate map setup or a measurement-based combat system of some sort (as with Warhammer's or Mage Knight's use of rulers, or the figure system in the back of Dragon Ball Z: the RPG). Of just not using a tactical style of play at all, which would reduce the figures to nothing more than character illustrations.
Of equal concern is the fact that these figures don't conform to any one genre, but spread out somewhere in a wierd futuristic science fantasy world. Some, such as most of the Neosapiens figures, would work fairly well in sci-fi and cyberpunk campaigns, and I'm pretty sure the insectoid figures could also work in sci-fi games. Most of the others fall somewhere between sci-fi and fantasy. I'm sure someone somewhere will think of a world that these figures would fit into like a glove. I've already considered the idea of a game world centered around a Massively Multiplayer Online Game along the lines of the Dot-Hack series of media, with players starting off as a stock figure and fighting monsters to gain powers (in the form of parts), items (weapons, armor, etc.), and experience.
The price of these would mean that the number of figures bought would be pretty small, but then again, with paint and finishing supplies, most minis would cost about this much and are nowhere near as versatile. If nothing else, there's the appeal of displaying the figure from your current campaign on your desk or bookshelf for all your friends to see ("Yeah, that's my character, Duke, a 12th-level space marine. Check out the bronzium armor he took off the corpse of that cat-creature on Ceti 3! And the flaming sword from the planet of elemental terror!"). Sort of like a 7" plastic character sheet.

I just ordered the Omega Guard and Grim Skull kits from amazon.com, in case anyone's wondering where to get them. It says the Grim Skull ships in 5-10 days, though, so I'm not totally confident I'll get one.
