[RPG]: Seven Cities, reviewed by Spike Y Jones (4/5)

http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/10/10998.phtml

Spike Y Jones's Summary:

Despite the fact that Seven Cities is three years old and it’s written for D&D3.0 instead of 3.5, this collection of seven generic locations that could be easily dropped into almost any fantasy d20 campaign is well worth even its full cover price.

I recommend it for anyone looking for entire communities or ideas to swipe. Good stuff.

I agree. This has been a useful book to me for years; given a lack of time, Seven Cities is a very flexible way to throw in settings and whole communities in to an ongoing campaign, and it's probably the most flexible and "importable" of the Penumbra books (which are all a cut above average, or more so).

Re: It's an excellent product

Does it stand up to time? How well would it port into other versions of D&D (I'm thinking old school D&D/Castles & Crusades here; not D&D 4E)?
