And Clinton R. Nixon has authored Donjon and Paladin, both excellent games.

So, he DOES know what he's doing when he makes games, and you should look for consistently high quality games from him.

$20? It's free.

The site makes it seem like the game is free for download under the Creative Commons license. Am I missing somewhere I can buy a printed copy?

It's not a download, it's plain text html pages. And yes, there's a graphic link to a site where you can order a softback book version with graphics.

Let me make sure I get this right..

1,000 years ago there's this farmer nation called Zaru. In a medieval time, of all times.. A meteor strikes the earth, kills millions of people, and 1,000 years later this nation still exists?..

Yeah, sorry for the error. Actually I submitted this review about a month ago and it was published back then on this site with the correct credits. I realized the error and submitted a fixed copy right away. Dunno why the people at RPG.net are republishing the review again...

It is fantasy.

No doubt you will be shcoked to learn that game assumes that actual honest to goodness magic exist and is acccessible to some people. Heck the game even includes sentient non human species....
