From what I've heard, which is entirely based on forum threads and the like, there's very little crunch. I've heard anything from around 2 pages to a paragraph.
All the crunch was in the previous book, thankfully.

No crunch. None. Zippo. Nada.
Well... none that I have found yet, and I've been reading/flipping through the book steadily since last Friday. I have yet to run into a single statistic in the main body of the book (though, I am getting a dim memory of an appendix full of NPCs toward then end that may or may not have had tiny li'l stat blocks).
I'm absolutely blown away. I had no expectation that a company would... would... *dare* try to publish a 400+ page hardbound setting guide completely devoid of crunch. But Privateer Press clearly has an understanding of the value of their intellectual property. Warmachine is going gangbusters around here, cutting into the 40K franchise. And I know of two steady IK RPG groups. More power to 'em, I say. It's a great world and this book is a great read.

Yeah, there is little if any crunch, crunch was sacrificed for world. The entire book is basically background, it's a ballsy move, but one that is typical of the Privateer ethos.

Hey,
Just wanted to say bravo to everyone involved in creating the IKWG, and making the excellent decision to break the d20 tradition and produce an outstanding book that doesn't rely on crunch to sell.
Well done, guys; you deserve to have all been listed rather than be presented as "multiple."

But it *is* selling because of crunch, either the d20 system or the miniatures game.
(It does look like a big, neat book, though. I've got it, but haven't had a chance to read it yet...)

Seanchai,
You do know that the IKWG has just about no crunch at all, yes? This is NOT the IKCG (which was very crunchy); this is the all-but-crunch-free setting fluff tome.

He's saying that although the book has no crunch, the reason people buy it is because they're into teh crunchy games. It's a hairsplit to which you need pay little attention.
