If anyone wants spoiler information on the setting, let me know, and I will post it here so it will not interfere with the main review.

It is pretty complex, but the 5 dollar summary is as follows:

2 alien races, one humanish but with golike powers and the other, thier shapeshifting hive-mind enemeies fought a big war thousands of years ago. a prison ship loaded exiles and or bad guys of both of these races crash landed on earth thousands of years ago.

Memebers of both factions spent the next several thousand years pretending to be gods to all the primative screw head humans they found on earth, so they could control the society.

The atlatenas, a sub-species of humanity with great magical powers, were also living on earth when the aliens crashed, and they were not fooled by the whole pretending to be gods trick.

Empires rose and fell, aliens fought aliens and atlanteans, etc for thousands of years.

A group of atlantean sorcerers messed with human genetic so that whne the bulk of the bad guy aliens showed up, it would trigger a change in many humans, unlocking their access to the mystical energy, KA, making them into super-heroes who could fight the invading Chimerans (bad guys)

What all this does is set up a pretty cool world with tons of different factions most of which can be the PC's and or their enemies. I will see if I can get Jerry Grayson, the author, to pop in over here to answer more settings questions.

It seems to me that the setting is the main selling point of Godsend Agenda, so it's good that you covered it after all.

It might've been more efficient to use spoiler text in the review itself.

True, But I was not sure how to do that. The technical bits of HTML still elude me. I wish there was a better editing system for the reviews, but I am learning more with each review.

Not trying to troll here, but reminds me a lot of Jim Lee's WildC.A.T.s.

Thanks for the summary. I cannot STAND the ideas of Atlanteans, and "aliens ruled as gods" so I know this is not a game I will pick up.

I don’t think your being a troll, just stating a fact. The world of GODSEND Agenda was influenced by several different sources
First and foremost Lords of Light by Roger Zelanzny
Jack Kirby’s New Gods (DC comics)
The Inhumans (Marvel comics)
MAGE: The Hero Discovered (First comics)
Strike Force Morituri (Marvel comics)
Solar: Man of the Atom (Valiant Comics)
Harbringer (Valiant Comics)
Eternal Champion (Valiant Comics)
Wild C.A.T.S. (Image comics)
The Last Dancer by Daniel Keys Moran
Fingerprints of the Gods by Graham Hancock
The movie Nightbreed and John Carpenters The Thing
I believe Jim Lee and Brandon Choi were influence by Roger Zelazny writer of the book Lords of Light. Lords of Light deals with a lot of the same themes and was the number one influence on GODSEND Agenda.
