[RPG]: Star Warriors, reviewed by Erick-Noel Bouchard, M.P.A. (3/4)

http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/11/11271.phtml

Erick-Noel Bouchard, M.P.A.'s Summary:

A well written classical space opera setting with detailed background information and useful crunchy bits for Cartoon Action Hour fans, but somewhat hampered by its (lightly) too serious tone for a toy-based game.

Converted from Phorums BB System

Some good points there. I deliberately went for something of a straight-faced tone, as the cartoons from that era were generally played straight as well (at least some- as you pointed out G.I. JOE was fairly influential.) But I can see someone wanting a wilder, more comic approach, more in line with late-80s early-90s shows.

The correct spelling is Dr. Tolken. It's derived from "Token", with him being the "token" black character.
