[Comic]: Artesia, reviewed by ShannonA (5/4)

http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/11/11531.phtml

Shannon Appelcline's Summary:

A beautifully drawn, well-written comic book, centering on the heavily detailed Known World. Thematically similar to RuneQuest or Conan, and soon to be a RPG in its own right.

Ooh, what a coincidence...

I found Artesia last night, by accident during a Google search (I was wondering where the name 'artesian well' came from, and wondered if it was a place - it is, but for three different places in the USA).

It does look impressive as well.

The artist's done a fair chunk of Vampire and Werewolf: Dark Ages art, as well as some Wizards of the Coast stuff as well.

I was already wondering about ordering the first book, but I think you've sold me on it.

Re: [Comic]: Artesia, reviewed by ShannonA (5/4)

I've collected this comic from the day the first issue hit the stands. Got all the issues, annuals and even the poster sized maps. The setting is so detailed that you can fall into it.

Stuff in the setting has altered my fantasy games for all times.

Can't wait for the full blown RPG to come out. I've read the playtest files and thought it was great, but the finished product complete with art will be amazing.

They're doing an RPG? Sounds cool.

They've got a site up for it although it's not chock full of info yet.

http://www.theknownworld.com/

Also there is a regular site for the Artesia comics and other stuff at:

http://www.artesiaonline.com/

Hope this helps.

There we go. I've just ordered Artesia from Amazon.
