Dragonlance is alive, well, and continuing to be supported by Sovereign Press under license from Wizards of the Coast! More information can be found at http://www.dragonlance.com, including a full product list, articles, reviews, message boards (at http://www.dragonlanceforums.com) and web enhancements.

I not only write for Sovereign Press, I run a regular Dragonlance campaign that has been going strong for over two years. There are thousands of Dragonlance fans out there and online, and it's a thriving community of supporters of both the novels and the gaming books.

I should also point out the Devil's Due and DBPro also released last year a comic book version of Richard Knaak's Legend of Huma, although issues are probably a little harder to find.

Cheers,
Cam

Re: [Comic]: Dragonlance Chronicles #1, reviewed by ShannonA (4/3)

I still have a copy of a "Graphic Novelization" of Dragons of Autumn Twilight, from the late 1980s. Rose-coloured glasses notwithstanding, it actually is a very successful, if literal, adaptation of the novel to graphical form. The black dragon guarding the Disks of Mishakal, in particular, was memorably rendered.

Cool to see a resurgence. Part of, I think, a general trend in fantasy comic resurgence. Recently we've had the super-sweet "Hedge Knight", and the breathtaking Kurt Busiek/Cary Nord Conan books by Dark Horse. (In fact, if you have some time to kill, Shannon, check out "The Frost Giant's Daughter".) Am I happy? I am so happy.

Thanks for the review!

Thanks for the review Shannon. Although I'm a long time DL fan, I wasn't planning on picking this one up but I did and I'm glad.
I couldn't agree more with your review. It's a fine little comic but with bags of potential. Here's hoping we see it realised.

Did the artist not like Tika Waylan though? He hasn't done her any favours.
